Carina Eugenio

Carina Eugenio is a Filipina visual artist, born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA and residing in Denmark. After completing her Bachelor Degree in Art from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, she worked at an Asian Women’s Safe House as a Children’s Program intern. This experience solidified her interest in combining visual art and education. She then completed her Master in Education, specializing in Art, also at the University of Minnesota. Soon thereafter, she, along with six graduate school colleagues, started a community arts-gallery-education-studio project, Driftwood Community Arts. It was a grass-roots effort to help foster visual arts education and local artists in a temporary space.

In 2008, she spent a semester studying Migration and Multiculturalism in Denmark through the Danish Institute for Study Abroad and had always planned on returning. Since 2014, she has been based in Copenhagen.
