Nikolai Kleist Burkal is a Danish-Greenlandic artist, and is based in Manila since 2015. He grew up in an artistic home in the capital of Greenland, Nuuk, but left to study at a music school in Denmark in 2007. He later earned a degree in Economics and Business Administration form the University of Southern Denmark in 2012. He then chose to pursue a career in fine arts, and went to study his MBA in Art and Cultural Management from the Paris School of Business and the art school, IESA Paris, finishing in 2015. With his various backgrounds and experience in fine art, music and economics, Nikolai looks to incorporate different elements of each area in his work.

The show in Pineapple Lab , will be Nikolai’s first solo show in both the Philippines and Asia. And as an unprecedented show, this will be the first time a Greenlandic artist exhibits in the Philippines.
