Nick Olanka

Born in 1982, Nick Olanka is a graduate of University of the Philippines Film Institute. A day after graduation he made his first feature film “Ang Huling Araw ng Linggo” for Cinemalaya Film Festival 2006. Since then he has extensively worked in theater, television and film as a writer and director.

For theater, he directed plays for The UP Repertory Company and for the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Virgin Labfest. For television he directed series such as “Apoy sa Dagat” and weekly drama anthology “Maalaala Mo Kaya.” He co-wrote “Adela” with director Adolf Alix and directed an omnibus horror film “Cinco” for Star Cinema. “Ronda” is his second feature film.
